Hey all, I just picked up a 2023 Z650RS! After years off riding, I'm getting back into it and loving the bike so far with only about 50 miles in. My only complaint is the seat; the slope and shape don't support me well. I'm considering Corbin's gunfighter seat, but $800 feels steep, does it really improve comfort?

I get what you mean about the seat, the stock one can feel a bit narrow and sloped for longer rides. The Corbin Gunfighter is definitely pricey, but from what ive heard and experienced, it makes a noticeable difference in comfort and support, especially if you plan on putting more miles on it. If you're mostly doing short rides, maybe give it some time, but if comfort's a priority, its probably worth the investment.

I've got the Corbin on my Z650 (not the RS), and honestly, its hard as nails , wouldn't recommend it.

A few months ago I was at a meet and spoke to a guy who said the exact same thing and he ended up selling the seat and took the factory one to a local upholster to modify the shape and get it perfect, so @Turbo you might want to consider this.

As for me, I ended up going with a Russell Day-Long seat, it's custom-built and way more supportive for longer rides. It's not cheap either, but still a bit less than Corbin depending on options.
