Alright fellas, I messed up, I should've mouse-proofed the garage, now I've got about 6 or 7 chewed wires under the seat, from the tail to the battery. Luckily the bike still fires up and the dash works, so the main harness seems okay. But there's this thick blue wire with a weird metal crimp, I have no clue what it does. Before I splice it, anyone know what it's for?

Hard to say without seeing how it exactly looks like but maybe you can try to find a diagram or maybe the manual has info about it? Check it first before cutting!
