Wrong Shorai battery order

So I got a wrong Shorai LFX14A1-BS12 order and was thinking if I could put it instead on my brother's 2018 Z650? I know it needs LFX18A1-BS12 but I feel like if I force it into my bike it's gonna be worth nothing and even ruin it. I'm just scared I'm not thinking too well about this battery and my brother's bike's compatibility? Will an LFX14 work if the bike needs LFX18?

It may physically fit but I don't think it's gonna work. Don't put your Z650 under all that unnecessary strain. It's gonna have cold starts! Pls. If anything, stick with your correctLFX18 for reliability. You said it yourself, the bike needs THAT.

The LFX14 won't really cut it for the Z650 that needs an LFX18. You'll start having starting issues or battery dying sooner

I agree with the rest in this thread. It's a different part number for a reason, so try to return the battery and get the right one or you can always sell the one you got and get the correct one. Even if it fits, it's not worth the risk screwing something up

The LFX14 is smaller and weaker than the LFX18 your brother's Z650 needs, so it prolly won't work right and could cause problems. I wouldn't try to force it , better to use the correct battery to avoid headaches. Maybe find a bike that actually uses the LFX14 instead.
